Fraud Allegations In Minnesota Government
Recently, over 400 officials in Minnesota’s government have publicly accused Governor Tim Walz of being at the center of a serious fraud scandal that has captured considerable attention.
This declaration was made via a post on the Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) X-Page, as reported on Sunday. The group alleged that the agency had informed Governor Walz about the fraudulent activities early in the investigation, yet he supposedly retaliated against those who spoke out.
“Tim Walz is completely responsible for the extensive fraud occurring in Minnesota. We reached out to him early on, wanting to assist in stopping it. Instead, we faced retaliation—he systematically targeted whistleblowers through intimidation, surveillance, and attempts to undermine those reporting the fraud. Instead of collaboration, we encountered harsh reprisals from Walz, some members of the DFL, and a largely apathetic mainstream media. It’s a frightening and isolating situation that leaves one questioning where to seek help.”
Moreover, Walz allegedly diminished the authority of the Legislative Audit Office, which allowed the agency to overlook audit results and advice. Media members and political figures aligned with Walz and the DFL reportedly attacked whistleblowers who attempted to raise concerns about malpractice.
According to reports, a Somali individual in Minnesota allegedly misappropriated millions from the state’s Medicaid autism care program, diverting funds to his homeland and affiliated terrorist groups.
A report from November 20 highlighted that around 100 autism clinics in Minnesota were under investigation for suspiciously billing Medicaid for treating children supposedly diagnosed with autism, largely associated with a corrupt Somali network in the Minneapolis region. Yet, the scale of the fraud seems to be more extensive and involved significantly more money than initially documented, all under Governor Walz’s oversight, who once ran for vice president as a Democrat.
In light of this, House Minority Leader Tom Emmer has called for an investigation into substantial state taxpayer funds believed to be reaching al-Shabaab, a terrorist entity linked to al-Qaeda.
Despite mounting evidence suggesting malpractice, the state’s Democratic Party continues to support the Somali community. Minnesota DHS further criticized Governor Walz in a recent post, stating, “Ultimately, Tim Walz is dishonest, lacking in ethics and integrity, demonstrates poor leadership skills, and has never acknowledged his part in any wrongdoing.”
