Texas A&M Cheerleader Found Dead: Mother’s Concerns

The mother of a Texas A&M cheerleader, Brianna Aguilera, recently revealed that her daughter’s phone was on Do Not Disturb the night she passed away.

Brianna, a 19-year-old college junior, was discovered dead outside an apartment complex around 1 a.m. on Saturday after attending a tailgating event for the football game between UT and Texas A&M in Austin the previous day.

Her mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, mentioned that she had attempted to reach Brianna hours before she learned of her daughter’s tragic fate.

“It struck me as odd that her phone was on Do Not Disturb mode. We always agreed she should keep her location on and at least send me a text when she went out to ensure she was safe,” Rodriguez expressed. “It stopped working around 6 p.m.,” she added, noting her home in Laredo, Texas.

Rodriguez reached out to the Austin police for assistance when she couldn’t get in touch with Brianna, but she was informed that a missing person report couldn’t be filed until 24 hours had passed.

Interestingly, her daughter’s phone was ringing by a creek at the scene, but police reportedly couldn’t verify if this was part of the crime scene. “There are so many violent incidents in Austin lately, and hearing about bodies found in the creek really terrified me,” Rodriguez shared.

She remarked that the phone remained in the same location when she checked again on Saturday morning.

A passerby found Brianna’s body later that day, and the police finally contacted Rodriguez around 4 p.m. to inform her that her daughter was at the morgue.

Rodriguez firmly believes her daughter was murdered, despite reports suggesting that the cause of death could be an accident or suicide.

“This was not an accident. Someone killed my little Bree and gave a group of friends ample time to fabricate a story. My daughter wouldn’t have jumped off a building. Labeling this as a suicide is absurd. Brianna loved life and was looking forward to graduating and starting a career in law,” Rodriguez emphasized in a Monday Facebook post.
