Homeland Security Secretary Noem Critiques Trump

During a recent Cabinet meeting at the White House, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem condemned former President Donald Trump. This marked the ninth Cabinet session of Trump’s second term, which is the same number held throughout President Joe Biden’s entire four years in office.

Noem remarked on the responsibilities Trump had during his presidency, suggesting he faced a “very interesting job.”

She criticized Biden’s actions at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), claiming he effectively opened the border and allowed individuals, including potential threats, to enter the country. Noem expressed frustration, stating, “He put them on a plane and got them through our airport,” emphasizing the need to address the consequences of this policy.

While acknowledging the support of her fellow Cabinet members in her role at DHS, Noem highlighted Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s efforts in negotiating travel documents and international relations, especially regarding deportations.

“We’re going to bring more people home for the holidays,” she said. “Yes. Most of them are bad. That’s right. And there are a lot of them,” reflecting her perspective on the situation.

She also praised Attorney General Pam Bondi for her legal contributions amidst critiques against DHS from various groups regarding immigration enforcement.

Noem proclaimed the hiring of 10,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents since Trump took office, while she lightheartedly mentioned Tropical Storm Chantal as the only named Atlantic cyclone that made landfall in the continental U.S. In contrast, she noted that Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica but humorously credited FEMA with “keeping the hurricane away.”

She believed Trump had successfully curbed the fentanyl trade at the southern border and praised Secretary of State Pete Hegseth for addressing narco-terrorism in the Caribbean.

The Secretary took aim at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, insinuating his incompetence regarding immigration policies, asserting, “So that weirdo Governor Walz is either an idiot or did it on purpose.” She alleged that Walz had illegally allowed individuals into the country under false pretenses, claiming that substantial taxpayer money was lost through fraudulent applications. Noem expressed a commitment to rectify this scenario.

Walz defended the programs aimed at aiding citizens, suggesting they’re often exploited by criminals. As the conversation continues, Fox News Digital has sought comments from Biden’s representatives regarding these claims.
