Tara Reid’s Allegations of Being Drugged at Hotel Bar
Tara Reid recently expressed that she believes she was drugged at a hotel bar in Chicago. Police, however, have stated they found no solid evidence supporting her claims that someone tampered with her drink. The 50-year-old actress described the incident as “terrifying,” asserting that “something happened” to her.
A representative from Chicago’s Rosemont Department of Public Safety shared that, after reviewing security footage and conducting several interviews, they had not yet uncovered enough evidence to back Reid’s statements. “The inquiry into the November 23rd incident involving Tara Reid is still active. Following a report about her drink, Detective Rosemont looked at the hotel surveillance footage and spoke to multiple individuals,” the spokesperson explained.
Tara Reid Claims Hospitalization After Incident
The footage did capture Reid at the hotel bar, but there was no sign of anyone interfering with her drink. In fact, the bartender was seen covering her drink as she stepped away, which is quite standard.
Despite the findings, Reid maintained that the “horrific experience” significantly impacted her mental health. “No one is admitted to the hospital incapacitated for over eight hours after consuming alcohol,” she argued in a statement. “The last clear memory I have is from one drink, then waking up the next day in the hospital. It was terrifying. I felt utterly helpless.” She continued, “This whole situation has been extremely distressing for me. I haven’t been able to sleep well. It’s genuinely scary to not know what occurred. I think I was drugged.”
Tara Reid’s Experience at Comic-Con
Reid, who was in Chicago for Comic-Con, was seen last week in a confused state, needing assistance into a wheelchair. Footage showed her confused and disoriented, and at one point, she was carried out on a stretcher, with onlookers cheering.
According to reports, Reid went to the hotel bar for a drink and a cigarette. After stepping outside to smoke, she returned to find a napkin placed atop her wine glass, which puzzled her since she couldn’t recall putting it there. She only took two sips of her drink before losing consciousness and waking up in the hospital, with her representative later collecting her.
A source noted that Reid is particularly concerned about the dangers of leaving drinks unattended and is understandably shaken by what happened.
She has filed a police report and is prepared to take legal action. In that report, Reid mentioned noticing numerous people in the hotel lobby who appeared to be YouTubers. “It felt odd, and something felt off,” she reflected.
Reid recounted that she ordered a glass of white wine and, shortly after meeting a successful influencer and YouTuber named Sean P., they stepped outside to enjoy cigarettes together, exchanging phone numbers. Upon returning to the bar, she found a napkin on her drink, which added to her unease.
“The last thing I remember is having that drink and noticing a couple nearby. Then, I woke up in the hospital—unconscious and unaware of where I was or what had transpired,” she shared with law enforcement. Furthermore, she received a text from the influencer the next day with a video, which she felt was an attempt to blackmail her.
Reid said the influencer suggested she could “stop the video” to avoid repercussions. “I am ready to press charges,” she concluded her statement to the police.
