Who is DC pipe bomb suspect Brian Cole?
The individual under suspicion for allegedly planting a pipe bomb near the U.S. Capitol on January 5, 2021, has been named as Brian Cole Jr., a resident of Woodbridge, Virginia. This was confirmed by two sources familiar with the case.
Cole, who is 30 years old, is currently in FBI custody as of Thursday, following an extensive investigation that lasted almost five years. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Thursday that he faces charges related to the use of an explosive device.
The FBI conducted the arrest in Northern Virginia, and Cole is set to appear in court for the first time in Washington, D.C., on Friday.
