David Casullo appointed to M&T Bank’s CNY Directors Advisory Council

M&T Bank Welcomes New Advisory Board Member

M&T Bank has announced that David Cathro is the newest member of its 11-member Board Advisory Committee for Central New York. This advisory group is set to meet regularly to discuss various opportunities that impact businesses, customers, and communities in the Central New York area. Their role will be to provide insights that support M&T’s ongoing efforts to tailor services and solutions to local needs.

Cathro is the founder and CEO of Danelli Partners and Overlook Ridge Development. He brings a wealth of experience—over 30 years—in leadership across manufacturing, retail, and service sectors, and identifies as an entrepreneur and executive coach.

He is also the author of “Leading a High Energy Culture.” Cathro has worked with Fortune 500 executives as well as leaders in government and emerging innovators globally. His past roles include senior vice president of human resources at Raymore & Flanigan, where he initiated the Leadership Development Institute, contributing to the company’s growth into a billion-dollar enterprise. Notably, he made history at age 36 as the first non-family member to serve as president of Burroughs Paper Corporation.

In terms of civic engagement, Cathro has held significant positions, such as chair of the board for Human Technology and Bassett Healthcare Network, as well as serving on the director’s board for Mohawk Valley Community College’s Center for Leadership Excellence. He has also been involved in city planning and community development initiatives in Little Falls.

M&T Bank operates 41 branches and employs around 400 staff members in the Central New York region, which includes Onondaga, Cayuga, Oswego, Madison, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Oneida, and Seneca counties. The regional headquarters is located on South Clinton Street in downtown Syracuse.
