Meghan Markle Significantly Missing While Her Father Has Major Surgery

Meghan Markle’s Father Hospitalized

Meghan Markle was notably missing from the spotlight as her father, Thomas Markle Sr., was hospitalized for a serious surgery that led to the amputation of his leg. Reports emerged on Friday detailing the dire situation.

Thomas required the surgery after a blood clot impeded circulation in his left leg, which subsequently turned black. His son, Thomas Jr., shared with the Daily Mail that the three-hour operation took place in the Philippines on December 3.

“I didn’t have a choice. The doctors said his leg had to come off, and it was a matter of life or death,” Thomas Jr. recounted. He mentioned feeling anxious about the risks of infections like sepsis or gangrene in the days leading up to the surgery.

“The flesh was black and dying,” he commented, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

Following this operation, Thomas Sr. will need another procedure to address a blood clot in his left thigh, according to reports.

It’s worth noting that Thomas Jr. is now caring for their father. Meanwhile, Meghan has not been seen or heard commenting on this medical emergency, raising questions about her absence during such a critical time.

This health crisis for Thomas comes at an interesting moment—just as Meghan’s Netflix lifestyle series, “With Love, Meghan: A Holiday Celebration,” premiered. The show aims to give audiences insight into her family life with Prince Harry in Montecito, California.

Interestingly, Thomas Sr. had relocated to Asia, apparently to escape media scrutiny and to distance himself from Meghan after their relationship became strained. Their estrangement began in 2018, coinciding with events surrounding her wedding to Prince Harry. He reportedly suffered two heart attacks just days before the royal ceremony and was unable to attend.

A spokesperson for Meghan declined to give any comment regarding her father’s hospitalization.
