Jessica Alba Reflects on Challenging Nude Scene in “Fantastic Four”
Jessica Alba recently revisited a particularly tough moment in her acting career while at the Red Sea Film Festival on December 5. The 44-year-old actress, known for her role in “Sin City,” opened up about filming a nude scene in the 2005 superhero film “Fantastic Four,” admitting that the experience was quite terrifying for her.
“I thought it was terrible,” she said, recalling the humiliation of the moment. “It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up in a fairly conservative family and I’m a pretty humble person. That scene scared me for weeks. I’ve had severe whiplash ever since.”
In the scene, her character, Sue Storm, inadvertently exposes herself to a large audience while trying to use her invisibility powers. This moment was, understandably, a big deal for Alba.
Alba described Sue as “someone I respect,” highlighting her maternal and kind nature, despite not being overly assertive. “She had a great moral compass. No matter who you are, you can look up to her,” Alba stated, acknowledging a shift in storytelling standards since then. “Often the women in stories like this have to be saved by a man or a villain. That’s the problem with the story. This was back then. It’s different now.”
Alba reprised her role in the 2007 sequel, and the character was later portrayed by Kate Mara in 2015 and Vanessa Kirby in 2025. Alba’s performance in “Fantastic Four” solidified her status in Hollywood and was also where she met her estranged husband, Cash Warren.
After meeting on set, the couple married in May 2008 and have three children: Honor, 17, Heaven, 14, and Hayes, 7. They announced their separation in January 2025 after 16 years of marriage. Alba shared her journey on Instagram, saying, “I have been on a journey of self-actualization and transformation for years, both personally and in partnership with Cash. I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years, and now it’s time to embark on a new chapter of personal growth and evolution.”
Since filing for divorce, Alba has been sharing numerous bikini photos on social media, revealing her fit physique. Recently, she posted from a trip to Australia, showcasing her in a mixed-print bikini against a stunning beach backdrop.
Her fans have shown enthusiasm in the comments, with one saying, “Queen of bikinis! Alba always makes my heart flutter,” while another declared her “the most beautiful woman of all time.”
In another update from her Australian getaway, Alba revealed her new relationship with “Top Gun: Maverick” star Danny Ramirez, posting a photo of the pair holding hands.
