Terry Bradshaw’s Surprising Admission About Mike Tomlin
It was a jaw-dropping moment in the NFL last Sunday when Terry Bradshaw shared he had never met Mike Tomlin, the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who has led the team to four Super Bowl titles since 2007.
“I’ve never met Mike Tomlin, but I know one thing: He’s an outstanding, phenomenal coach,” Bradshaw commented during “Fox NFL Sunday,” right after the Steelers clinched a victory against their rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, solidifying their spot in the AFC North.
Bradshaw, now 77, spent his entire 14-season career with the Steelers, winning four championships between 1970 and 1983. Tomlin, who took over as head coach after Bill Cowher in 2007, played under legendary coach Chuck Noll, who led the team for 23 years.
The news about Bradshaw’s remarks quickly spread across social media, leaving many users astonished. One user posted, “Wait… Terry Bradshaw won four Super Bowls with the Steelers, and he has never met Mike Tomlin, who has been the Steelers head coach for almost a century?!” Another chimed in, “How is it possible that Terry Bradshaw has never met the coach who’s been at the helm for nearly 20 years?”
Tomlin, under pressure from some fans recently, celebrated a 27-22 win over the Ravens that put Pittsburgh at the top of the AFC North with a 7-6 record.
“It’s a great team win,” Tomlin said, expressing gratitude for the players’ efforts. “Typical Steelers vs. Ravens.”
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who contributed a touchdown and no interceptions in that game, also took a moment to address Tomlin’s critics, suggesting that this victory might quiet them down for a bit.
Looking ahead, the Steelers are set to face the Ravens again in their last regular-season match on January 4th.
