Pipe Bomb Suspect Arrested After Five Years

It’s been about five years since a pipe bomb was found on January 6, and authorities have now apprehended a suspect.

“We’re discovering a lot more details,” said Sarah Gonzalez, a host on Blaze TV. “And honestly, the more that comes out, the more concerning it is.”

The arrested individual is 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr., who lived with his mother in Woodbridge, Virginia. He’s been characterized as a solitary figure with anarchist views, and he worked for his dad’s bail bond business.

This isn’t just any bail bond company; apparently, it has been involved in releasing undocumented immigrants from ICE detention facilities. Gonzalez argued that this company has a specific agenda, suggesting that it’s tied to leftist causes. She noted that the family-run business has also taken legal action against President Trump and the Department of Homeland Security relating to immigration issues, and they’ve called on the Biden administration to tackle racism.

They even hired Benjamin Crump—known for representing Black Lives Matter and George Floyd’s family—to deal with racism-related issues. “At the end of the day, this family business is deeply involved in social justice work,” she added, almost playfully questioning if that’s not significant.

FBI Director Kash Patel remarked that the evidence surfacing now isn’t new; instead, it was previously overlooked. “The last administration left evidence behind for four years. Nothing new has come forth in five years,” he stated on Fox News. “We’ve gone through the state, brought in specialists, and re-examined everything.”

“We sifted through three million pieces of evidence, revisited cell tower data, and questioned why certain phone numbers weren’t logged or if geolocation data was missing. It raises questions about either gross incompetence or serious negligence, neither of which can be tolerated from the FBI,” Patel elaborated.

In another segment, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino expressed his confusion over the past leadership, suggesting that they were more focused on targeting political opponents rather than addressing actual investigations. “It feels like there’s a pattern to undermine trust in the system, and that’s quite alarming,” he noted.

Gonzalez added, “It seems like there was a lot of incompetence in the Biden administration. But it’s hard to believe that the entire investigative team experienced the same issues and could not connect the dots.”
