Sharon Osbourne Stands Up for Daughter Kelly
Sharon Osbourne is fiercely protective of her family. Recently, she came to her daughter Kelly’s defense after online trolls targeted Kelly’s appearance. This came during an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” where Sharon, mourning the loss of her husband Ozzy earlier this year, spoke out against the negativity aimed at her daughter.
Piers Morgan had addressed the cruel comments circulating online regarding Kelly’s weight loss, sharing a video where Kelly responded to the hurtful remarks. In it, she expressed, “My father just passed away, I’m doing the best I can, and the only thing I have to live for is my family. So to all those people, stop now.”

Following the airing of the clip, Sharon shared that Kelly had been struggling since Ozzy’s death in July. “She’s not happy. She lost her father,” Sharon revealed. “She can’t eat now.”
Sharon went on to critique the internet, labeling it as a “shield for the unfortunate”, pointing out that jealousy often fuels cruel comments. “How many times have we misjudged someone based on our own views? It’s exhausting to deal with hurtful behavior. I truly pity those individuals; their lives must be lacking in happiness,” she reflected.
Earlier in the year, Kelly had also opened up about her personal experiences with body image scrutiny. She poignantly remarked that society tends to be more critical of weight than other dangerous behaviors she faced in her past, saying, “I was a drug addict, I was an alcoholic…but I received more criticism for being fat than for anything else.”
Kelly continued, sharing how she often felt judged despite compliments, recalling, “People would say, ‘You look beautiful,’ but then suggest I should lose weight for it to be perfect.”
In a heartfelt message to her fans days after her father’s passing, she wrote, “I’ve sat and written this hundreds of times and I still don’t know if these words are enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” acknowledging how much support had helped her through this challenging time.
“Grief is a strange thing,” she noted. “It creeps up on me in waves. I know I won’t be okay for a while, but knowing my family isn’t alone in this pain makes a difference.” Kelly expressed that she is holding tightly to the love and legacy left behind by her father.
