Before the playoff games kick off next weekend, college football’s top honor—the Heisman Trophy—will be awarded tonight.

This prestigious award is given annually to the best collegiate football player, determined by votes from 870 media members, all living Heisman winners, as well as college football fans, whose votes count as a single total for the frontrunner.
