Anti-Semitic Outburst at Manhattan Restaurant
On Saturday night, a disturbing incident unfolded at a Manhattan restaurant when a man launched an anti-Semitic tirade at guests, and it was captured on video.
The altercation took place at Mole Mexican Bar and Grill in the West Village around 8:30 p.m., according to witnesses and recordings. A Jewish patron, having overheard nearby anti-Semitic remarks, decided to speak up. This led to a verbal explosion from the offender, who began shouting expletives and making anti-Israel statements.
“Screw you, you son of a gun!” he shouted in the footage. “You are an ugly piece of work. Go ahead, post it wherever you want. We will use every means necessary to get rid of you from this country.”
A bystander later recalled, “That’s when we really started to pay attention. First, there was a single voice yelling insults. Then, I distinctly heard, ‘Damn you, Jews!’ It was just shocking to see how it escalated,” they noted.
The situation peaked with the man nearly headbutting a frightened woman, shouting out insults before leaving with his companion.
A witness, who goes by the name Max Toy, shared the incident online. He expressed his disbelief at how the individuals involved, particularly the women, remained composed while being targeted by such aggressive behavior.
“It’s just upsetting to think about,” Toy reflected. “That moment, seeing them cry after he left, it was just wrong. They weren’t yelling back; they were composed despite being attacked.”
Toy mentioned that in his opinion, such behavior encourages more individuals like this man—those who harbor extreme, fanatical anti-Zionist views. He noted an increasing pattern of blaming Jews for various societal issues, which, unfortunately, reflects a broader trend.
In recent weeks, Jewish community leaders have reported a notable spike in anti-Semitic incidents, particularly following the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and the ensuing conflict in Gaza.
Efforts to get a comment from the restaurant about the event were unsuccessful, as a staff member declined to discuss it.
