Doctor Found Dead in Miami Dollar Tree Freezer

A female doctor, identified as 32-year-old Helen Massiel Garay Sanchez, was discovered dead—reportedly naked—in a freezer at a Dollar Tree store in Miami, Florida, on Sunday. This shocking incident was confirmed by local police and various media outlets.

The Miami police reported that an employee of the Little Havana Dollar Tree found the “dead female inside the store” during the morning hours, specifically around 8 a.m. She was located in the inventory room within a walk-in freezer, according to spokesperson Michael Vega.

It was noted that Sanchez was naked when found. The information about her condition was relayed through police scanner communications.

Authorities mentioned that surveillance footage did not indicate any foul play, but the investigation is still active. It remains unclear how Sanchez ended up in the restricted area of the inventory warehouse.

Sanchez was a Nicaraguan anesthesiologist who specialized in congenital heart disease. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist her family in repatriating her body to Nicaragua, where her two children reside.

The page describes her as having tragically passed away in an accident while traveling from Nicaragua to the United States. Her family desires a proper funeral and wishes to ensure she is laid to rest surrounded by her loved ones.

As of Monday night, the GoFundMe campaign has raised about $9,200 to support her family, covering transportation and funeral expenses.

The Dollar Tree store was closed for some time during the investigation but reopened that same evening. No immediate comments were available from Dollar Tree regarding the incident.
