Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers Evicted from California Home

A judge has ordered reality TV star Denise Richards and her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, to vacate their home in California after they did not respond to a lawsuit filed by their landlord.

The landlord, John Curran, initiated legal action in November over an unpaid rent amounting to $84,000. The couple ended up losing their Calabasas residence simply because they didn’t show up in court. Despite being served properly, both Richards and Phypers failed to respond or attend within the set timeframe, leading the court to grant full possession of the property to Curran.

The couple alleged to be seven months behind on rent for the luxury Calabasas home they began renting in 2020, which was priced at $12,000 per month. Initially, Curran requested that the court evict the couple and mandate them to pay $400 each day until they left the house.

Interestingly, Richards hasn’t lived at the property since early 2023, yet she continued to handle utility bills while Phypers and his family remained in the house. Reportedly, Phypers has been reaching out to friends for financial help as he struggles with his current situation. In documents filed in his divorce proceedings, he mentioned, “My financial situation is worsening day by day,” noting that his only vehicle was facing repossession and his living situation was precarious.

As they finalize their divorce, the two are involved in a legal dispute. Phypers filed for divorce seeking spousal support, citing irreconcilable differences. Just days later, Richards was granted a temporary restraining order against him, which later became permanent, expiring in 2030. The restraining order was requested after Phypers allegedly shared private messages and photos online, prompting the judge to comment on the serious nature of such actions.

Notably, Phypers has also faced spousal abuse charges linked to prior incidents from 2017 and 2022, according to court records.
