Christian Pulisic addresses rumors about his relationship with Sydney Sweeney.

Christian Pulisic has made it clear he is not dating Sidney Sweeney and wants to set the record straight on the matter. Rumors had been circulating about a potential relationship between the U.S. men’s national team star and the actress, but Pulisic addressed these speculations earlier this week.

In a post on his Instagram Story, he stated, “Please stop making up stories about my personal life. Sources need to be held accountable. It can impact people’s lives.” It seems he is quite serious about wanting to redirect the narrative surrounding his personal affairs.

In another Instagram post, he emphasized his achievements while also addressing the speculation with a firm “Fake news people, stop the nonsense rumors.” Pulisic, 27, was born just a year and six days after Sweeney, who is 28, both sharing September birthdays.

Meanwhile, Pulisic has been in a relationship with golfer Alexa Melton since at least the summer of 2024. Melton previously played collegiate golf at USC and competed in the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open. Although she was active on the Women’s Epsom Tour, she hasn’t participated in events since 2024.

On an aside, it appears Sweeney is currently linked romantically with music manager Scooter Braun, a prominent figure in the industry known for managing artists like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.

Pulisic is set to represent the U.S. this summer during the 2026 World Cup, which will be held throughout North America. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This will mark Pulisic’s second World Cup appearance, following his debut in the 2022 tournament in Qatar. The U.S. team made it to the knockout stage but was eliminated by the Netherlands, who subsequently lost to Argentina in the round of 16.

The U.S. will enter this tournament as the highest-ranked team in their group, alongside Australia and Paraguay. Historically, the U.S. team has had a mixed track record in World Cups, making it to the Round of 16 in 2010 and 2014, but missing the 2018 tournament altogether. They returned to the Round of 16 in 2022, yet didn’t advance past the group stage in the Copa America held at home last year.

The tournament opens for the U.S. on June 12 against Paraguay, promising a summer filled with excitement and anticipation.
