Marjorie Taylor Greene supports a 2026 tax uprising: 'so tired'

Greene Advocates for 2026 Tax Revolt, Questions Trump’s Commitment to America First

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the controversial lawmaker, has intensified her call for a tax revolt in 2026, expressing frustration over President Trump’s perceived departure from his “America First” principles.

During a recent appearance on the X Show, Greene (R-Ga.) pointed out that many Trump supporters are advocating for a suspension of taxes in the upcoming year, insisting these sentiments are warranted due to what she sees as governmental mismanagement impacting American citizens.

“Almost every Trump supporter on X is fed up and planning a tax revolt in 2026,” Greene declared. “And rightly so!”

She argued that Americans work tirelessly yet struggle to make ends meet, while the government frequently diverts their hard-earned tax dollars to foreign nations and conflicts, leaving the American populace with nothing in return.

“It’s infuriating. The government just keeps giving away what we earn to other countries and people who come here. This isn’t fair!” she asserted.

Greene amplified her message by sharing posts from various MAGA influencers who criticized Trump for paying taxes or suggested he could stop altogether. Her reposts voiced numerous grievances, including a recent $1 billion fraud scandal in Minnesota and ongoing foreign wars.

One notable repost featured influencer Andy Frisella, who launched into a heated anti-tax tirade, highlighting the fraud in Minnesota and expressing his discontent with how tax money is spent.

“We’re being replaced while our hard work supports others. It’s outrageous,” Frisella exclaimed during his rant. “Donald Trump needs to be held accountable for all of this.”

He went further by insisting that taxes are not permanent and urged all Americans to consider the idea of not paying federal taxes.

Greene seemed to resonate with Frisella’s passionate outbursts, sharing similar sentiments from others. For instance, Savana Hernandez, a Turning Point USA contributor, boldly declared she wouldn’t be paying taxes and promised to make a big deal out of it if the IRS pursued her.

Meanwhile, another influencer suggested a tax payment moratorium until the government can demonstrate it’s not committing further injustices.

Though Greene is set to leave the House of Representatives on January 5, 2026, she emphasized the ongoing issues facing the nation, regardless of party affiliation. She expressed concerns about the soaring $38 trillion debt, expensive healthcare, and rising housing costs.

“What will it take to prioritize the American people?” she questioned.

In a pointed criticism of Trump, she implied that he has been too focused on international affairs at the expense of addressing pressing domestic concerns.

“While he spent the weekend with foreign leaders, our government is failing audits and Americans feel abandoned,” Greene pointed out.

“Meanwhile, we are planning a tax revolt because we don’t know how else to make our elected officials listen to us,” she added.

As Greene’s resignation approaches, her next steps remain unclear.
