At 68, Dennis Austin proudly fits into the same leotards and swimsuits from over three decades ago. The fitness expert and founder of Fit Over 50 magazine continues to share her strategies for sustainable weight loss through various diet methods, notably via her fitness app. On this platform, she provides tailored workouts, health plans, and motivational words for her community.
Austin, a mother of two, emphasizes that her “then-and-now” photos aren’t just for showing off. Rather, they serve as a reminder that lasting results come from consistent effort over time.
Austin chuckles as she recalls keeping her gear from the ’80s and ’90s. “I’m really glad I left it all behind, but my daughters love wearing it now,” she said. Preparing just weeks prior, she refrained from indulgent snacks and focused on healthier meals. “That experience was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill, so I made sacrifices for it. But now, I enjoy my wine and food because they’re part of life.” Despite her commitment to health, she emphasizes moderation rather than restriction.
