Venezuela Is Really 'Free Today'

Actress Sarah Foster expressed on Sunday that the United States successfully capturing Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, should be seen as a hopeful moment for Venezuela, a country long under his oppressive rule.

Despite having voted for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, Foster acknowledged President Donald Trump’s role in this significant event.

Foster, whose father is the renowned musician David Foster, has been vocal about her support for Venezuelan families for over ten years. She urged her followers to educate themselves about the harsh realities faced by the people living under Maduro’s regime. The first thing I did was read about it.

“People seem to thrive on anger,” Foster noted on X. “But while we’re caught up in our anger, Venezuela is experiencing happiness for the first time in decades.”

In a video message, she mentioned, “I didn’t vote for Trump. I wasn’t excited about voting for Kamala, yet I did.”

She highlighted her charitable efforts, sharing, “For more than ten years, I’ve been providing food, medicine, and basic necessities to children in Venezuela. I’ve built close bonds with families who have suffered terribly, witnessing their children’s struggles in unimaginable conditions.”

Foster emphasized the dire situation in Venezuela, explaining, “You really can’t fathom what it’s like for parents unable to get the essentials for their kids. I’ve spoken to mothers who have seen their children in distress. It’s beyond what I can conceive.”

She continued, “I’ve been addressing issues related to Maduro for a long time now. So before you rush to critique, I can’t predict how this will impact America. Honestly, my focus is on the relief for Venezuelans.”

Foster further stated, “Please, before blaming this on Trump, consider the life and survival conditions in Venezuela. Today, Venezuela is free. Take the time to learn about it.”

She added, “I’m not saying there’s no oil involved. It’s possible there’s something very troubling going on. But for the people of Venezuela right now, this is undoubtedly a positive change.”

According to reports, Maduro and Cilia Flores were captured and deported following a series of explosions in Caracas. President Trump confirmed the success of the operation, stating, “The United States executed a significant assault on Venezuela and its leader, capturing President Maduro and his wife, in cooperation with U.S. law enforcement.”

U.S. courts had previously accused Maduro in 2020 of playing a prominent role in a major international cocaine trafficking operation, dubbed “The Cartel of the Sun,” which aimed to flood the U.S. with cocaine, undermining its public health.
