Golden Retriever Rolls Its Eyes in the Most Sassy Way When a Lost Dog Gets Inside the Car

My dogs definitely have a jealous side. Whenever I cuddle with my older Dachshund, my Pug mix gets all upset and tries to intervene. Then, when I turn my attention to him, my Doxie sister gives me this heart-wrenching stare. They act the same way when I’m with other dogs; it’s like they always want to be the favorite. Honestly, I find it kind of endearing.

There’s this Golden Retriever who seemed a bit jealous—or maybe he just didn’t want anyone invading his personal space—when his owner attempted to assist a lost dog.

In a TikTok video from @keepnupwitnat, a cute pup that looked like a Goldendoodle sat in the front seat of a car, appearing somewhat uneasy. The woman who brought the dog along was petting him while searching for some dog tags.

The on-screen text stated, “Found this poor baby running in the street, so I picked him up, and my Golden Retriever was not having it.”

The camera then shifted to show the Golden Retriever in the backseat, looking at his owner as if to say, “I didn’t agree to this.” He even rolled his eyes to really drive home his annoyance.

The expression on his face was telling. Perhaps he was jealous, or maybe just frustrated that this new guest was getting the front seat. Luckily, it seems like the situation was only temporary.

“The eye roll says it all. But I’m just grateful this fur baby made it back home,” the caption noted.

Thoughts About the Golden Retriever’s Reaction

Viewers found the Golden Retriever’s response hilarious and shared their thoughts on what he might have been thinking.

One commenter joked, “Since when do we start giving free rides?”

Another quipped, “Oh, I didn’t realize we were running a charity…”

Someone else pointed out, “What happened to not talking to strangers?”

Another added, “Your Golden Retriever in the back is like, ‘oh, so now we’re raising a village’.”

It’s a shame there wasn’t a follow-up video to capture the lost dog’s departure; I suspect the Golden’s expression was a lot more positive then.
