Rob Schneider Criticizes Minneapolis Mayor After ICE Shooting

Actor Rob Schneider labeled Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey a “lunatic” and a “disgrace” during a recent episode of the “PBD Podcast.” His comments came in response to Frey’s remarks following the fatal shooting of a woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.

After the incident, which occurred during a surgical procedure in Minneapolis, Frey urged ICE to “get out of Minneapolis” in a press conference. Schneider suggested that the mayor was more focused on politics than on the safety of residents, claiming he was failing to protect Americans.

“That person [Frey] is a madman. There are madmen running our cities,” Schneider expressed. He continued, “They would rather see their city destroyed, overrun by people who are not citizens. It’s all a political show. That man is a disgrace, and I believe you recognize that too.”

Schneider further criticized Frey, asserting, “He’s a bad actor. He doesn’t have the best intentions. Instead of de-escalating, he’s stirring things up and making situations harder, all for the sake of a political war.”

Following the shooting, protests emerged in Minneapolis and across the nation. When asked how he was helping to calm tensions, Frey responded by emphasizing the unity in Minneapolis, stating that the community is standing up for immigrant rights and public safety. He warned against letting the situation escalate, suggesting that ICE might want to provoke further conflict.

Democratic strategist Julian Epstein also weighed in, asserting that the rhetoric from Democratic leaders regarding ICE may have contributed to the violence. He accused them of failing to condemn ongoing violence, and he pointed to their language as a potential catalyst for the tragic events that unfolded.
