'Questionable' item leads Secret Service to change Trump's motorcade path to the airport

Suspicious Object Disrupts Trump’s Motorcade Route

The White House announced that the U.S. Secret Service had to change the route of President Donald Trump’s motorcade after finding a suspicious item during security checks at Palm Beach International Airport. This occurred just before his scheduled departure from Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on Sunday.

According to officials, this discovery didn’t affect Trump’s travel plans, as investigators carefully assessed the object and made appropriate security adjustments.

White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt commented on the situation, stating, “A suspicious object was discovered by the USSS during a preliminary cleaning of PBI Airport. Further investigation was warranted and the presidential motorcade route was adjusted accordingly.”

This incident followed a previous security scare several months earlier when a suspicious hunting platform was found in clear sight of where Trump would land from Air Force One at the same airport.

That situation came to light in October, as investigators found the elevated hunting stand but noted no one was present in the vicinity at that time.

FBI Director Kash Patel shared then, “Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, the USSS spotted what appeared to be an elevated hunting platform within sight of the Air Force One landing zone. There were no individuals at the scene. The FBI took over the investigation, sending personnel to gather evidence and using cell phone analysis capabilities.”

A law enforcement official later revealed to Fox News Digital that the hunting stand seemed to have been in place for “several months” before it was discovered.

This hunting stand incident occurred shortly after Ryan Routh was convicted for attempting to assassinate the President at a golf course in Palm Beach, where he allegedly set up a sniper’s nest hidden in the bushes along a fence.

This followed another assassination attempt earlier when Trump was shot in the ear during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
