Guy Fieri to lead complimentary Super Bowl Flavortown tailgate in the Bay Area

Flavortown Comes to the Bay Area

Get ready, because Flavortown is on its way to the Bay Area!

Guy Fieri is set to host a free tailgate party for the Super Bowl on February 8th, expecting over 10,000 attendees. The festivities will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the historic Cow Palace in Daly City, just a bit north of where Super Bowl LX will happen in Santa Clara, about 60 miles away.

As the star of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and, well, the self-proclaimed mayor of Flavortown, Fieri has held three major Super Bowl tailgates in cities like Phoenix, Las Vegas, and New Orleans since 2023. He’s said that the first tailgate in Phoenix surprised him with its massive turnout.

“You drive in and it’s just immense—a mile long with people,” he shared.

Now, he recalled a particular moment. He called his team asking if they could open the gate since he saw a lot of folks waiting outside in the heat. It turned out, the event had already been open for about an hour. “It was incredible. I wish everyone could go to the Super Bowl, but this is how they get to experience it,” he remarked.

Fieri emphasized that the tailgate isn’t just about watching the game, but more about capturing that Super Bowl spirit.

The event will feature live performances by Loud Luxury and Tucker Wetmore, along with a variety of food and drink options to be revealed soon. There’s also an area called “Built in the Bay,” highlighting offerings from several local restaurants and cocktail bars.

While attending is free, guests need to register for tickets, and kids under 13 don’t need one. For those looking for a more exclusive experience, VIP tickets are available, priced between $50 and $1,000.

If you opt for the $1,000 ticket, you’ll enjoy great views of the main stage, complimentary appetizers and meals personally selected by Fieri, an open bar for four hours, and access to the VIP lounge.

Interestingly, Fieri recently had a mishap while filming his new show, “Flavor Town Food Fight.” He fell and ended up tearing his quadriceps muscle, necessitating emergency surgery. This happened just a bit before, and he expected to be out of action for about eight weeks while he healed up in a cast.
