Agent Who Shot Woman and Died Experienced Internal Bleeding

ICE Officer Injured After Shooting Incident in Minneapolis

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer, involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of a woman in Minneapolis, has reportedly experienced internal bleeding in his torso.

CBS News shared that, according to two U.S. officials, ICE officer Jonathan Ross sustained internal bleeding after the January 7 incident where he shot Renee Good.

Reports indicate that during the shooting, a group attempted to obstruct the ICE officers who were carrying out immigration enforcement actions. Good allegedly used her vehicle aggressively towards the officers.

NBC News added that this group actively tried to halt the agents who were engaged in a targeted operation. During this encounter, Good reportedly used her car to attack one of the officers involved.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) later provided information about the event, stating that while the officers were conducting a targeted operation, a crowd began to interfere. One individual from the group allegedly attempted to run over an ICE officer with a vehicle.

DHS described the actions taken by the mob as domestic terrorism, noting that one member “used a vehicle as a weapon in an attempt to run over and kill our law enforcement officers.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem commented that the ICE officers, during enforcement actions, were trying to assist vehicles stranded in the snow. She added that when Good attacked, the officers acted quickly and fired defensively to protect themselves.

Noem emphasized that the woman had not only attacked the officers but also posed a threat to those nearby. She stated, “Our officers acted quickly and fired defensively to protect themselves and those around them.”

In response to the reports of Ross’s injuries, Vice President J.D. Vance remarked that many individuals on the left were misrepresenting the incident, suggesting that it was their actions that led to injuries among law enforcement officers.

Vance noted, “Who knew!” while discussing the narrative surrounding the event in a post.
