Glenn Beck reflects on Scott Adams: 'A thinker hidden behind a stick-figure artist'

Scott Adams, Creator of “Dilbert,” Passes Away

Scott Adams, the much-loved creator of “Dilbert,” has died after a long struggle with cancer, leaving many in shock. Blaze Media’s Glenn Beck expressed sadness over Adams’ passing.

“I’ll take a moment here. It’s not a punch line,” Glenn remarked seriously. “We remember a man who meant much more than most people understood. For most of his life, Scott was just a cartoonist, but that’s a significant role in itself. He connected with us, filled with insight, and he was one of those ordinary individuals who left a mark.”

“He was cherished by many. I can imagine that half the country might not agree with his political stance, but he served as a beacon for anyone willing to engage in honest thought.”

Beck continued, “You didn’t have to be on the same page as him. He just encouraged us to think. Many saw him as a mentor while trying to grasp the nuances of influence and change. In reality, he was a philosopher masked as a cartoonist.”

Interestingly, just before his death, Adams shared that he had decided to convert to Christianity. “This isn’t something you’ve heard often from me, but I feel the change coming. I know it’s never too late. When I wake up in heaven, I expect any doubts will be clarified,” he stated in a video recorded shortly before his passing.

“To my Christian friends, yes, I’m embracing it. No need to preach anymore; I understand the wisdom behind the leap. If it turns out there’s nothing, well, I haven’t lost anything. But if the Christian faith is closest to the truth, then I’ve come out ahead,” he added.

“So, I promise to take this step,” he concluded.

“That honesty is what I love,” remarked Glenn. “He may have downplayed it, but I could tell he didn’t approach it lightly. He was a profound thinker.”
