Hostile anti-ICE protesters damage vehicle with chilling message: 'the only good agent is a dead one'

Minneapolis Protest Escalates

In Minneapolis, a chaotic protest took a violent turn as an anti-ICE mob left threatening messages on vehicles, one of which read, “The only good agents are dead men.” The scene resembled something out of a disaster movie following a night of unrest.

During this unsettling event, an undocumented Venezuelan immigrant was reportedly shot in the leg after allegedly attacking an official with a shovel. Meanwhile, tensions escalated as angry protesters vandalized cars, while others hurled rocks and fireworks at federal officers.

Images captured show cars marred by red spray paint amidst debris, with messages like “Fk ICE” and “Only good agents die” prominently displayed.

The violence erupted around 7 p.m., with smoke filling the streets as law enforcement resorted to using tear gas canisters in an attempt to disperse the unruly crowd.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, federal agents opened fire on an undocumented immigrant who had escaped a traffic stop and struck an officer with a snow shovel when cornered.

This turmoil prompted President Trump to consider invoking the Insurrection Act, threatening to send troops into the city if lawmakers did not take steps to restore order.

In an impassioned post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his frustration, stating, “If Minnesota’s corrupt politicians do not follow the law and stop professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking ICE patriots who are just trying to do their job, I will do what so many presidents have done before and enact the Insurrection Act to end this travesty in our once great state.”

This rarely invoked law grants the president authority to deploy military forces or the National Guard to suppress insurrections, even against the wishes of state governors.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey attributed the upheaval to the presence of about 3,000 federal agents already in the city, pointing to the recent shooting of 37-year-old anti-ICE activist Renee Nicole Good.

In a press conference, he commented, “Our city’s 600 police officers are focused on investigating crimes, stopping murders, and preventing auto burglaries. That’s the role of city police. Meanwhile, ICE agents are scattered across the state, bringing chaos. This is not the direction the United States should take right now.”
