Star François Arnaud of 'Heated Rivalry' shares significant message after unfollowing cast members.

Francois Arnaud’s Social Media Moves Spark Speculation

There’s not much intensity in the rivalry, but François Arnaud recently stirred up conversation with his actions on Instagram. He took the opportunity to unfollow fellow cast members and the creator of “Heated Rivals,” which caught a lot of people’s attention.

The actor, who portrays Scott Hunter in the HBO series, shared a trio of photos featuring co-star Hudson Williams, showcasing him smiling and engaging with the camera.

Interestingly, Arnaud also decided to unfollow Williams in a subsequent photo. “Learning from the best. 👑 @hudsonwilliamsofficial,” the 40-year-old wrote, hinting at something deeper with his choice of caption.

In a follow-up post, Arnaud added a song to his story: Wolf Parade’s “I’ll Believe in Anything.” That particular track plays during a farewell scene in the series involving his character.

News surfaced that Arnaud had dramatically reduced his following from over 1,000 accounts to under 200, unfollowing not just Williams but also Graham Kuntz and Connor Story, who plays Ilya Rozanov.

However, by Friday morning, he was back to following all three co-stars again, along with creator Jacob Tierney. The reasons for his previous social media shake-up remain somewhat ambiguous. It seemed related to negative online attention he received after being spotted at JFK Airport with Story, which sparked dating rumors.

The airport sighting stirred some discontent among fans who wished to see Williams and Story as a couple on-screen instead. Representatives for both Story and Arnaud haven’t addressed the media’s inquiries yet.

During a recent promotional tour, Arnaud suggested he might leave social media altogether. He mentioned that actress Helen Hunt’s interactions with him on the platform tempted him to “shut the whole thing down.”

Reflecting on the negativity online, he humorously remarked, “Maybe I should just delete Instagram. I don’t need to see anything else,” envisioning a happy ending for himself. His followers found his latest social media activity uplifting, some even advising him to disregard the negativity. One supporter expressed concern, remarking that there are some fans crossing the line, but also lauded the cast for looking out for one another.
