Ana Navarro Questions Hillary Clinton’s Subpoena
Ana Navarro is perplexed by the decision to subpoena Hillary Clinton to testify in the House Oversight Committee’s investigation related to Melania Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.
During today’s episode of The View, co-hosts expressed their frustration over Hillary and Bill Clinton’s absence from a previously scheduled deposition, with House Republicans now suggesting possible contempt of Congress charges against the couple.
Alyssa Farrah Griffin pointed out that unlike her husband, Hillary’s name “never appeared in Epstein’s file,” asserting that the call for her testimony feels like a “witch hunt.”
Navarro, while wanting both men to testify, suggested that others might warrant attention from the House Oversight Committee before bringing in Hillary.
“I’ve known Bill and Hillary Clinton for more than 20 years. They were close friends of my ex, and they frequently visited Miami to stay at his hotel,” she explained. “It’s not exactly comfortable for me to request they come forward to testify.”
Navarro urged society and the Oversight Committee to “hold the people we like to the same standards as the people we dislike.”
She added, “As they criticize Bill and Hillary, Donald Trump, who was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s closest friends for over a decade, seems to escape scrutiny.”
Navarro also emphasized the need to consider Melania, who has been photographed with her husband and Epstein multiple times.
“Bringing in Hillary Clinton, who hasn’t been implicated in anything, alongside Melania Trump—who similarly has no charges against her—is questionable. There are photos of Melania with Epstein, but none of Hillary. If we’re going after first ladies with no ties to Epstein, shouldn’t we start with Melania?” Navarro stated.
The View airs on ABC weekdays at 11 AM/10 AM Central.
