Request to Jail Hunter Biden Over Child Support Issues
Landen Roberts is seeking to have Hunter Biden jailed, alleging that he has not complied with a child support agreement. This motion was filed on January 13 in Independence County Circuit Court, Arkansas.
In 2023, Biden’s child support obligation was reportedly reduced at his request. As part of this agreement, the Navy was directed to provide Lunden Roberts’ daughter, Joan, with a certain number of paintings created by Biden, selected specifically for her. It’s interesting to note that Biden’s father, Joe Biden, is currently the U.S. president, and the value of Biden’s artwork was taken into consideration for child support purposes.
The idea for this arrangement appeared to stem from a moment when Roberts unexpectedly testified in Little Rock, Arkansas, presenting a piece of art made by her daughter. According to the motion, Biden proposed that he and Joan should connect through their mutual appreciation for art. He even began a relationship with Joan, having scheduled phone calls. However, it appears that after Roberts published her memoir in 2024, Biden allegedly backed off from this newfound relationship.
Roberts, who discussed her relationship with Biden in her memoir, maintained that she did not voice any negative opinions about him. Nevertheless, she claims her daughter has had no contact with Biden since that time. Roberts also attempted to reach out to Biden to talk about their children, but he reportedly did not reply.
The motion indicates that while Joan received some paintings, they were selected by Biden rather than by her, which allegedly goes against their agreement. It states, “The defendant should be committed to the Independence County Detention Center as a criminal punishment that displays the dignity and authority of this court.” Additionally, Roberts is requesting an increase in child support to ensure it aligns with what Biden provides for his other children.
In 2023, Biden and Roberts reached a court-approved child support settlement. Previously, Biden was said to have provided $20,000 monthly for Navy Joan. Roberts had hoped her daughter could take Biden’s last name, but the arrangement stipulated that she would keep her mother’s surname.
Roberts initially pursued legal action against Biden in 2019 after he refused to admit paternity, a claim confirmed by DNA testing.
Interestingly, Roberts reportedly worked at a Washington, D.C., strip club that Biden frequented.
