Police have identified the woman tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident in Brooklyn on Friday morning as Kiana Underwood, a former child actress known for her role on Nickelodeon.

At 33 years old, Underwood was featured in the last season of the comedy show All That in 2005. Reports indicate that she was crossing at the intersection of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue in Brownsville around 6:50 a.m. when a black Ford SUV struck her.

Footage obtained shows that the vehicle, traveling west on Pitkin Street, continued for about a block after the incident, with Underwood’s body rolling out from underneath the car.

According to officials, her body was discovered at the intersection of Osborne Street and Pitkin Avenue, where she was pronounced dead on-site.

In addition to her appearance on All That, Underwood portrayed Fuchsia Glover, the cousin of the lead character, on Nickelodeon’s Little Bill, which aired from 1999 to 2004. This was in addition to her roles in films like 24 Hour Woman and Death of a Dynasty.

Underwood also played Tanesha Lovell in the comedy 24 Hour Woman, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and had a smaller role in the 2003 satirical film, Death of a Dynasty, featuring Kevin Hart.

Additionally, she spent a year on stage as young Ines in the first national tour of Hairspray, according to her profile.

As for the circumstances surrounding the accident, investigators believe Underwood may have been walking in the wrong direction after leaving a mall, and the driver likely didn’t see her. As of Friday afternoon, no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.

Born in New York City, Underwood later moved to Los Angeles, where she pursued her acting career.
