Trump suggests Rep. Omar from the 'Squad' should be imprisoned or sent away: 'MAKE SOMALIA GREAT AGAIN'

Trump Criticizes Rep. Omar, Calls for Jail or Deportation

Over the weekend, former President Trump criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar, suggesting she should face jail time or be deported back to Somalia. He referred to her as “Fake ‘Congressman’ Ilhan,” claiming that she harbors a hatred for America and often vocalizes her complaints.

Trump expressed his frustration on social media, stating, “She can make Somalia great again!” He went on to assert that Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, is fully aware of the welfare fraud issues currently affecting the state.

While Omar is not personally connected to the ongoing fraud scandal that has led to 98 indictments, she is under scrutiny due to her unexpectedly high net worth. Trump’s comments also included unverified claims regarding her past marriages.

In Minnesota, welfare fraud has reportedly cost taxpayers over $1 billion, with some estimates reaching around $9 billion, according to research. The state’s Governor, Tim Walz, challenged these numbers, labeling them as sensationalist.

Omar, a U.S. citizen since 2000, emigrated from Somalia. Amid ongoing scrutiny, her net worth reportedly increased to $30 million over the past year. This marks a staggering rise, estimated at about 3,500% from 2023. Reports previously indicated that her husband’s business ventures played a significant role in this sudden wealth accumulation.

The House Oversight Committee has begun to investigate this financial leap, subpoenaing relevant records from her husband. Committee Chairman James Comer raised concerns about how such rapid wealth growth is possible, echoing sentiments of skepticism from various watchdog groups.

As Trump launched his attacks, Omar was advocating for stricter measures against illegal immigration in Minnesota. He questioned the state’s opposition to removing dangerous criminals, suggesting that many protests were driven by professional agitators.

Currently, Minnesota is attempting to prevent the Trump administration from increasing the number of ICE agents in the state, amid rumors of military involvement in enforcement efforts. Omar’s office did not provide a comment when reached for a response.
