Violent Encounter Among St. Louis County Democrats

Disturbing footage captures a chaotic fight between two Democratic figures in St. Louis County. The altercation, involving hair-pulling and wild punches, erupted following a town hall meeting.

Missouri State Senator Angela Walton Mosley and St. Louis County Councilwoman Shalanda Webb became embroiled in a physical confrontation outside a local recreation center in Bellefontaine Neighbors. Video shows their heated exchanges after the meeting held on September 25.

Interestingly, Mosley’s sister, former county councilor Rochelle Walton-Gray, also joined the fracas before stunned onlookers intervened.

The rivalry between Webb and the Walton sisters is longstanding, spanning at least five years. Now, all three are pursuing legal action related to the incident, which lasted roughly 40 seconds.

In the video, Webb, dressed in a leopard-print maxi dress and wearing glasses, can be seen brandishing a pen at Mosley during their confrontation. Tensions escalated when Mosley allegedly grabbed Webb by the throat, pushing her against a wall, prompting a physical struggle.

The scene quickly intensified as the two grappled across the room. Webb reportedly seized Mosley’s hair, leading to multiple exchanges of punches to the head. Gray, donned in a blue jacket, stepped in to assist her sister, sparking further chaos until bystanders managed to separate the three women.

In a statement, Webb asserted that the video demonstrates she “did not initiate this conflict.” She claims her actions were purely defensive after being physically confronted.

The lawsuits filed by Mosley and Gray seek $25,000, citing emotional distress and humiliation, contending they never threatened Webb and that Mosley upheld her dignity as a state senator.

In the meantime, Webb is seeking an order of protection against both women, with a court hearing set for January 29. Additionally, she has requested the Bellefontaine Neighborhood Police Department to file charges, which have since been referred to the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.

Notably, all parties involved maintain that their actions were in self-defense.
