Amelia Gray Hamlin Opens Up About Cosmetic Surgery
Amelia Gray Hamlin, the daughter of Lisa Rinna, recently shared details about her experiences with cosmetic surgery in a frank interview.
In a conversation with Variety, the 24-year-old model insisted, “I’ve always had lips like this,” denying the use of fillers. She mentioned she’s currently undergoing a treatment called SkinVive, describing it as a moisturizer injection rather than a filler.
Hamlin has been transparent about having had rhinoplasty in the past. She also discussed her breast reduction surgery, which she underwent to avoid a potentially severe infection known as nipple ring sepsis.
Reflecting on her past experiences, she recalled a challenging episode at 16 when she dealt with mastitis, labeling it as “the worst thing that could have happened.” Although she later opted for breast implants, she expressed regret about that decision.
Hamlin explained, “I dated someone older than me, and his views on beauty influenced my choices.” This led her to get breast implants again, motivated by dissatisfaction with the scars left from the initial surgery. “I woke up in a state that I didn’t consent to,” she admitted.
She later faced complications that required emergency surgery because her implants caused excessive pressure on her nerves. She described it as a painful ordeal, sharing that she underwent 14 hours of reconstructive surgery due to the issues that arose.
In a previous podcast episode, she opened up about her struggles with body image and an eating disorder that pushed her to a breaking point. Hamlin reminisced about an intervention her family held for her, detailing how they insisted, “Get in the car. You’re going to UCLA.” The medical staff warned her that her situation was severe and could lead to dire consequences.
Hearing that reality motivated her to take control and make changes. “I’m not meant to be this person,” she reflected. “No matter what problems I have, I’m not going to ruin my life.” Hamlin emphasized that being happy and true to oneself is more important than fitting a specific physical ideal.
A lot has changed since then; she now appears to be significantly more content. Recently spotted in Los Angeles wearing trendy low-rise sheer pants, and at a Swarovski event in a dazzling crystal-encrusted dress, she seems to have embraced her body and self-confidence.
