Bare-chested man in Florida gets sentenced for jumping through Taco Bell window and robbing it with a big rock

He’s definitely not your everyday robber.

A man, Kewalen Lee Anderson, 40, reportedly broke into a Taco Bell in Florida through the drive-thru window. He was armed with what authorities described as a “large rock” and demanded money from both employees and customers.

Anderson, who is homeless, was later discovered crouched behind a trash can by an Ocala police K9 after he attempted to escape. He received a prison sentence months after the incident.

According to reports, Anderson entered the Taco Bell through the drive-thru while holding the rock and began to threaten people for cash. He forced everyone out of the restaurant to make his escape easier.

Although he fled the scene, he didn’t get far. A K9 dog quickly tracked him down, and body camera footage showed him whimpering and raising his hands in surrender when the dog located him.

The exact amount of money, if any, that Anderson was able to take during the brief robbery remains unclear.

He told police he was homeless and needed the money, according to an arrest affidavit.

Interestingly, just six hours after his arrest, he was involved in another altercation with a fellow inmate, leading to additional charges of assault while in custody, on top of the armed robbery charge.

On January 22, he was found guilty on both charges and sentenced to four years in prison, with 199 days credited for time already served in Marion County Jail.

Anderson’s episode isn’t an isolated case for Taco Bell, as this isn’t the first time something tragic has happened in or around their restaurants.

For instance, a few months ago, a disgruntled former employee returned to the location after being fired and fatally shot the manager in the parking lot.

In a separate incident captured on video, security personnel at another Taco Bell were seen responding aggressively to a disruptive customer who refused to leave the premises.
