Former ESPN star seems to make a remark about Trump

Former ESPN personality Adrian Wojnarowski reached out to his social media followers following a shooting involving Border Patrol in Minnesota that resulted in one death. Wojnarowski, who has been critical of the Trump administration since his exit from ESPN as an NBA insider, shared his thoughts on Threads this past Sunday.

He simply posted, “Stand up against fascism,” without elaborating further.

Currently serving as the general manager for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies men’s basketball team, Wojnarowski has made notable comments about various political issues, including a previous incident where he expressed his disapproval of President Donald Trump after the U.S. detained Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. At that time, he referred to the situation as an “absolute disgrace” and shared an anti-Trump article from the New York Times.

During his tenure at ESPN, Wojnarowski gained attention in 2020 for his cheeky response to a press release from Senator Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) in which he replied, “Hmm, sweetheart.” This led to his temporary suspension from ESPN, which he later apologized for, acknowledging his rudeness and promising to reach out to Senator Hawley personally.

Now returning to the political arena, Wojnarowski has voiced his criticism of the White House again. The victim of the recent shooting has been named as Alex J. Preti, who was fatally shot after allegedly confronting law enforcement officers during a Department of Homeland Security operation in the area.

This incident came shortly after another related shooting where U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, claiming self-defense as Good had allegedly used his SUV aggressively against them.
