The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health Department, along with the VCU Police Department, is currently investigating a nurse who shared a series of videos that advocate for counterattacks against federal law enforcement officials.
In a statement to FOX News Digital, VCU emphasized, “We prioritize the health and safety of those who come to us for treatment. We are aware of a series of videos that appear to have been posted by individuals identified as employees of our health system. The content of these videos is highly inappropriate and does not reflect the integrity or values of our healthcare system.”
The university further clarified that the nurse involved is currently on leave and will not have access to the facilities or patients while the investigation is ongoing. The nurse used the now-deleted TikTok account “Redheadredemption,” and was identified as a VCU Health Department employee after a compilation of her videos was shared by the popular X account, LibsOfTikTok, which triggered significant backlash.
In one of the videos, captioned “#ice #resistance #sabotage,” she suggests using “sabotage tactics” against opposition, mentioning, “I thought of something good. It’s an obstruction tactic, or at least an intimidation tactic. Health care workers, bring your syringes with needles. Get him topped up with saline or succinylcholine. Whatever. That’ll probably be a deterrent. Make it safe.”
For context, succinylcholine is an anesthetic known for causing rapid, short-acting muscle paralysis that usually lasts about 4 to 6 minutes. In another video, the nurse implies utilizing poison ivy to infect others, saying, “I get today’s tip of the resistance. I vote. Does anyone have poison ivy or a poison ivy tree in their yard? Get it, put gloves on of course, and soak it in water. Like a gallon of water. And get some poison ivy oak water and put it in a water gun. Aim it at the face and hands.”
In a third video, captioned “#stay toxic,” she proposes a rather unsettling idea. She encourages someone to date an ICE agent and drink excessively, implying that it would incapacitate them: “There’s an opportunity to do something with the single women that the ICE men are doing, which is not without risk, but it could certainly help the cause.” She even suggests taking the agents to places where they eat, stating, “Let’s find them.”
As her videos circulated online, she concluded one by saying, “Let’s make their lives miserable,” urging her viewers to talk to anyone who might know the whereabouts of the ICE agents. It’s a troubling situation, and ongoing discussions surrounding it continue to unfold.
