Years after a widely publicized arrest, Bug Hall, known for his role in “The Little Rascals,” sought a calmer lifestyle in Hollywood.

Now 40, the former child star describes himself as a “radical Catholic extremist” and has relocated his wife and five daughters to a small community outside Mountain Home, Arkansas, according to reports.

Hall mentioned he’s let go of his earnings from child acting and has embraced a “vow of poverty.”

In keeping with his religious commitments, his plan includes donating his savings and most belongings, aiming to live on as little as possible.

“If a financial need comes up, I’ll take on odd jobs to meet that need,” he shared.

As of the latest updates, Hall and his family live in a camper that has basic facilities like a well and generator.

He also hopes to construct an off-the-grid home complete with a hydroelectric system and independent plumbing and electrical setups.

Regarding his daughters, Hall and his wife Jill, married in 2017, intend to homestead their education and “strongly discourage” them from conventional schooling once they reach adulthood, which they view as largely “pointless.”

Moreover, Hall’s brother, Gemini Barnett, along with their mother and stepfather, have also moved to Arkansas to acquire land.

Hall previously announced these changes following his 2020 arrest for allegedly misusing an air duster can.

In an interview, Hall explained that police in Weatherford, Texas, had him in custody for misdemeanor possession, but he faced no charges related to that incident.

He emphasized that prior to his arrest, he had maintained sobriety for 15 years.

Although he enjoyed filmmaking, the arrest served as a wake-up call, helping him realize he didn’t want to be swayed by others, including those struggling with addiction.

Hall gained fame for playing Alfalfa in Spielberg’s 1994 film and later starred alongside Lindsay Lohan and Brenda Song in Disney’s “Get a Crew” in 2002.

He received a Children’s Emmy Award nomination for “A Tale of Darkness” and co-wrote the film “This Is the Year,” produced by Selena Gomez.
