Sydney Sweeney Addresses ‘MAGA Barbie’ Label
Sydney Sweeney is perplexed by the label “MAGA Barbie” that’s been assigned to her, especially since she’s never publicly shared her political views.
In a recent interview with a magazine, she expressed her feelings about being used as a “pawn” in political discussions simply because she hasn’t spoken out. Sweeney indicated that people are quick to label her based on their own perceptions.
“I’m not here to discuss politics. My focus has always been on creating art. But since I don’t dive into political debates, some people feel the need to use me in that way. It’s frustrating because it’s really outside of my control,” Sweeney explained.

When asked why she doesn’t correct fans who link her to former President Trump’s supporters, Sweeney emphasized that there’s no winning in these online discussions. “I just don’t understand it. If I deny it, some might accuse me of trying to cover up,” she shared. “It feels like there’s no winning here. All I can do is be true to myself. I know who I am and what I stand for.”
She made it clear that her political beliefs will likely remain private because she doesn’t see herself as a “politician.” “That’s just not my world; I’m in the arts, after all. I entered this field to tell stories, not to engage in political commentary. Hatred isn’t something I believe in. My message is one of love and respect,” Sweeney concluded.
Launching Lingerie Brand
In another part of the interview, she talked about her upcoming lingerie brand that she recently launched. The actress revealed a bit about her history with bras, recalling her struggles as a sixth grader with a larger size. “The first time I found a bra that truly fit was a game-changer for me,” Sweeney noted. “With Syrn, I want to focus on designs that cater to all body types.”
“I aim to create a space where women can explore different facets of themselves,” she remarked, emphasizing the versatility of lingerie. “Whether it’s glamorous for an event or something comfy for a day at home, lingerie can be a fun way to express who you are.” She added that it can evoke feelings of both femininity and strength.
