Raiders Zero in on Head Coach
It seems like the Las Vegas Raiders are among the few teams still in search of a head coach, but there’s some buzz circulating that they may have found their guy.
Reports indicate that the Raiders are interested in Clint Kubiak, currently the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks. However, Kubiak won’t be able to officially take the role until after Super Bowl LX, where the Seahawks are set to compete against the New England Patriots.
There was a second interview over the weekend, and Kubiak is hopeful to finalize things soon, according to sources. The Seahawks wrapped up their season with a strong performance, ranking 3rd in points scored and 8th in yards allowed. They also clinched the NFC West title after winning against the Los Angeles Rams and making it to their first Super Bowl since 2014.
Kubiak, in his first season with the Seahawks, has quite an interesting coaching journey. Before coaching in Seattle, he had a stint as the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Pelicans in 2024 and the Minnesota Vikings in 2021.
If the deal does go through, it’ll mark the sixth head coaching change since the end of last season. Interestingly, Kubiak took on new challenges with the Denver Broncos in 2022 and the San Francisco 49ers the following year.
For context, Pete Carroll took the reins of the Raiders in 2025 after a lengthy run with the Seahawks but was let go after a disappointing 3-14 season.
Meanwhile, the Raiders hold the top pick in the upcoming 2026 draft. It’s a pivotal moment, really, and I guess fans are eager to see how this all shakes out.
