Kid Rock to lead All American Halftime Show for neglected region of the country

Kid Rock Rejects Grammys, Announces Alternative Halftime Show

Kid Rock is distancing himself from the Grammys. On Monday, he shared that he will be a guest on “The Charlie Kirk Show” and will headline Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” which steps in for the expected Super Bowl halftime concert featuring Bad Bunny. Andrew Corbett, executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” noted that Kid Rock, a five-time Grammy nominee, has asked that his past accolades not be used to promote this new event.

“I caught a bit of the Grammys last night and thought, ‘Wow, these people seem like they collectively have a mental virus,’” Kid Rock stated. He went on to express his discontent: “Looking around, it feels just—sad. Some of them seem pretty lost.”

Interestingly, instead of a Grammy nod, Kid Rock was celebrated with the Waffle House Legend Award for having the most songs played on the Waffle House jukebox in 2020. “We made sure to leave out any mentions of the Grammys,” Corbett added.

Kid Rock also commented on Billie Eilish, noting that she “looked sad.” He suggested, “Maybe you should look into Jesus, little girl,” reflecting his frustration with her public critiques of the Trump administration and ICE. Eilish, while accepting the Grammy for Song of the Year, had previously declared, “Nobody lives illegally on stolen land,” along with her criticism of ICE.

Other performers at the Grammys echoed anti-ICE sentiments, including SZA and Olivia Dean, while some wore “ICE OUT” pins. Bad Bunny also made strong statements about humanity and the immigrant experience during his acceptance speech.

As for Kid Rock, he feels that TPUSA’s halftime show needs to represent a portion of the country that often goes unheard: “Too many of us are fed up with Hollywood’s narratives and the incessant political messaging. We need a space that reflects our values.” He believes this show will integrate faith and music in a way that resonates with many Americans.

Kid Rock, along with fellow performers Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, aims to create an enjoyable experience for those who share a love for their country. “We just want to play great music for people,” he remarked.

The “All-American Halftime Show” will be available for streaming across various platforms, including YouTube, X, and Rumble, with additional access through Sinclair Broadcast Group’s OTT channel, CHARGE!
