Some well-organized groups have allegedly pushed anti-ICE protesters into violent encounters with federal agents, using these situations to further their agenda and boost funding.
One of these groups goes by the name Protect 612, named after the Minneapolis zip code, as noted by City Journal.
“This situation highlights the core tactic of the Defend the 612 leadership,” states City Journal. “They are leveraging casualties to escalate tensions. Organizers are placing volunteers in unpredictable scenarios that ensure ongoing clashes between locals and federal authorities, while the professionals behind this chaos evade consequences.”

The advocacy group claims to aim for the “protection” of Minneapolis neighborhoods, framing support for violent criminals as “acts of love and compassion.”
“Minneapolis refuses to accept federal control or a violent invasion by immoral agents trained to terrorize our communities. We are united in our demand: we want ICE out of our neighborhoods. Nothing will stop us from looking out for one another,” declared the extremist left-wing groups.
However, this so-called “support” appears to train “ICE watchers” to engage in increasingly perilous confrontations with law enforcement, as reported by City Journal.

As noted by Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlowe in October, these groups receive substantial funding from foreign billionaires like George Soros and Neville Roy Singham.
Research Director Seamus Bruner and GAI President Peter Schweitzer have disclosed that Singham is linked to numerous radical left organizations and supports domestic radicalism in the U.S.
Defend the 612, along with similar organizations, trains anti-ICE activists to physically hinder law enforcement.
Their training materials instruct supporters to “obstruct” immigration enforcement, explaining that such tactics confuse and delay authorities, making immigration processes “uncomfortable and inefficient.”
These organizations appear to encourage their members to defy law enforcement orders, which only increases their risk during protests.

Field teams are reportedly urged to intervene and even arrest law enforcement officers to impede their primary duty of apprehending criminal illegal immigrants, putting activists at risk of harm.
These reckless tactics have reportedly led to fatalities, including two individuals, Renee Good and Alex Preti, caught in dangerous situations.
Yet, injuries sustained during protests seem to have little impact on the group leaders. They appear to want their members to face harm on the ground, using these incidents as fodder for fundraising or to justify heightened violence.
