Progressive Warning to Trump Amid Epstein Links
Representative Jasmine Crockett from Texas issued a stark warning to former President Donald Trump while Democrats investigate his potential connections to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
This development follows Ghislaine Maxwell’s recent private deposition with the House Oversight Committee. It’s reported that a convicted associate of Epstein invoked the Fifth Amendment, avoiding questions from lawmakers.
“We’re going to go with his opinion,” Crockett stated to reporters on Monday after the deposition. “We have a felon with 34 convictions, and yet people are still protecting him from responsibilities tied to a child sex trafficking ring.”
Crockett then contrasted how Trump is treated compared to former President Bill Clinton, who is also testifying. She maintained that this issue isn’t strictly partisan.
“At this point, it’s clear they were ready to jail the Clintons for not showing up,” she remarked.
“And then looking back at the hearings concerning the Clintons, I said, ‘Sure, Donald Trump’s name is being brought up a lot. Please bring him in too.’ For us Democrats, this is not partisanship; this is about what is right and wrong.”
Crockett referenced Bill and Hillary Clinton, who are initiating contempt proceedings against House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer for not appearing for private depositions in person.
Lawyers for the Clintons mentioned their agreement to finalize the terms with Comer right before the House was set to vote on potential criminal charges against them with the Department of Justice.
However, tensions escalated, with the Clintons now insisting on testifying in a public hearing, although they’re scheduled for private, recorded testimony instead.
In response to inquiries on FOX News Digital, Crockett remarked, “They prefer operating behind closed doors. Then they spin things their way.”
“What we’re seeing is a game. Ultimately, this is about protecting and distracting from the President of the United States, who is specifically named in these files,” she added.
While both Trump and Bill Clinton’s names appear in the Epstein files released by the committee and the Justice Department, there is no implication of wrongdoing for either.
Crockett is also aiming for the Senate seat currently held by Republican Senator John Cornyn from Texas.
