FBI Identifies Subject of Interest in Nancy Guthrie Case

TUCSON, Ariz. — The FBI has shared a photo of a person they consider a “subject of interest” in connection with the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

FBI Director Kash Patel requested that a photo showing a masked individual near Guthrie’s front door be posted.

“In the past week, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office have been collaborating with private sector partners to recover images and video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost or destroyed due to various circumstances, including the removal of recording devices,” Patel stated.

“Newly discovered footage, recovered from residual data, shows an armed person appearing to meddle with Nancy Guthrie’s front door camera on the day she went missing.”

Minutes after sharing the photo, NBC’s Tom Winter reported that the Guthrie family did not recognize the individual and noted that the person seemed to have a gun tucked into their waistband.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office echoed Patel’s information in its own post on social media.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, who is the daughter of NBC’s “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since Sunday, February 1st.

As of now, no suspects have been publicly identified in this ongoing case.
