Police Seek Additional Victims of Teen in Explicit Photo Case

Authorities are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying more potential victims of a 19-year-old who is accused of distributing graphic images to minors linked to a satanic online grooming group.

Jacob William St. Peter, from Leonardtown, was taken into custody on February 3 by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland. This comes after a report from a resident in Nampa about explicit images sent to a minor by an unknown adult.

According to police, a forensic analysis of the minor’s device uncovered that the individual was using the moniker “randysaytrade” across various online platforms. They found not only the inappropriate images but also references to a group known as “764,” which law enforcement has described as a network engaged in the systematic grooming and exploitation of vulnerable youth.

This “764” network allegedly coerces mentally unstable minors into harmful behaviors, including self-mutilation and, in extreme cases, suicide. The Department of Justice indicates that these group members often force their victims to document these acts of self-harm, creating materials that can then be used for further manipulation and control.

St. Peter faces charges of felony sexual abuse of a child under 16. Currently, he is in custody in Maryland, awaiting extradition to Idaho after posting bail set at $100,000.

Detective Noah Monroe from the Nampa Police Department’s Special Victims Unit mentioned the case emphasizes the importance for parents to closely monitor their children’s engagement with social media.

“There are serious dangers associated with children interacting with strangers on the internet, as criminals can easily exploit their trust,” Monroe stated. “The ‘764’ network represents a glaring example of this problem. They initiate contact with seemingly harmless interactions that escalate into extortion and other harmful requests. It’s imperative for guardians to be proactive in overseeing online activities and educating their children about these risks.”
