Search for Missing Nancy Guthrie Continues
The investigation into the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie is now in its second week. As authorities delve deeper into the case, crucial evidence is emerging that could shed light on what happened to her at her Tucson, Arizona home.
Images obtained by Fox News Digital reveal blood droplets on the ground near Guthrie’s front door and driveway, adding a haunting element to the story of her vanishing.
Forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden commented on the findings, suggesting that “Nancy Guthrie is bleeding from her hands or face.” He noted that the distinctive pale center of the bloodstains hints at blood possibly coming from her nose or mouth, mixing with air.
This suggests she might be experiencing bleeding from her mouth or nose, or possibly from an injury on her face or hands. Authorities later confirmed that DNA testing showed the droplets belonged to Guthrie.
Baden elaborated that these blood splatters indicate she may have been unable to stop the bleeding as she moved from her front porch to the driveway.
“This blood was present during the incident,” he stated, emphasizing that the circumstances surrounding the blood indicate it wasn’t a result of typical, non-threatening causes.
He further explained, “These droplets signify something serious; they happened during a kidnapping.” The pattern, number, and specific placement of the blood suggest she was indeed bleeding at the time of her abduction.
Guthrie was last seen during the early hours of February 1st. Later that day, she was reported missing after failing to appear for her church’s weekly livestream with friends.
The FBI has reached out to the public for assistance in locating her. They expressed gratitude for the support from the Tucson community and are offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to her recovery. Individuals can provide tips by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI.
As of now, authorities have not announced any suspects or made any arrests related to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
