Media Quietly Conceal Obama Lawyer's Close Connections to Epstein

Political Repercussions and Connections

In the latest discussions, it seems Democrats have managed to navigate some challenging waters. Enter Kathryn Ruemmler, whose ties to the Epstein case might shed light on why the Biden administration hasn’t made that file public.

Ruemmler started her journey with the Obama administration back in January 2009, initially taking on the role of deputy assistant attorney general at the Department of Justice. She climbed the ranks swiftly, becoming the White House Chief Counsel in January 2010 and eventually stepping in as advisor to the President in June 2011, a title she held until 2014.

Even after assuming significant roles in the White House, Ruemmler maintained a close association with Jeffrey Epstein. This connection raises eyebrows, particularly following her recent resignation from a prominent position at Goldman Sachs.

If one were to only skim corporate media headlines, they’d likely miss the fact that Ruemmler had a notable six-year tenure as Obama’s chief of staff, a role often overshadowed in headlines.

It’s intriguing how headlines, such as those from major outlets, choose to omit “Obama” entirely:

  • Associated Press: “Top Goldman Sachs lawyer Kathy Ruemmler resigns after emails show close ties to Jeffrey Epstein”
  • CBS News: “Kathryn Ruemmler resigns as general counsel at Goldman Sachs after Epstein case filing appearance”
  • Politico: “Top Goldman Sachs lawyer resigns over relationship with Epstein”
  • Reuters: “Goldman Sachs’ top lawyer Ruemmler resigns after Epstein revelations”
  • Axios: “Goldman Sachs’ top lawyer resigns after Epstein’s release”
  • The New York Times: “Goldman’s top lawyer resigns amid revelations of relationship with Epstein”
  • Bloomberg: “Goldman Sachs’ lawyer Ruemmler cuts ties with Jeffrey Epstein”
  • CNN: “Epstein’s emails show close ties to top Goldman Sachs lawyers”

It’s worth pondering how these headlines would differ if Epstein’s associate had been linked to Donald Trump, especially if her role had been as intimate as being his legal advisor or driver.

As we shift our focus to further political scandals, consider this: a former top advisor to President Obama who is now a significant legal figure in finance—surely, this is fodder for investigative journalism. The question arises: did the Biden administration withhold the Epstein file to obscure connections between Obama’s aide and Epstein?

The media’s reluctance to tackle this relationship continues to be evident.

You might wonder why that is. After all, the Democratic Party appears to be on solid footing.

Personally, I find the entire situation quite absurd. Ruemmler, in my view, didn’t do anything that warranted losing her position or facing public disgrace. Just because she was friends with Epstein doesn’t necessarily imply wrongdoing, especially considering his time served. Unless there’s proof she was complicit in anything dubious after his prison term, labeling her as guilty by association feels like an overreach. To me, it seems like a modern iteration of McCarthyism where, without concrete evidence, people are vilified.

Yet, media entities who once believed the Epstein file might pose a threat to Trump’s agenda seem now to be tweaking their narratives to protect Obama.
