Spencer Pratt’s Mayoral Ambitions Spark Family Discontent
Spencer Pratt’s intentions to influence Los Angeles positively have raised eyebrows, particularly from his sister, Stephanie Pratt. She has voiced her doubts about her brother’s commitment, implying that his motives might not be entirely genuine.
In a series of posts, she reassured her audience that Spencer, known from “The Hills,” seems more focused on maintaining his fame than serving the city.
Interestingly, Spencer claims that notable figures in Hollywood discreetly support his criticisms of California’s leadership, expressing worries about the repercussions on his acting career.
Following the devastating wildfires in January 2025, which affected both his and his parents’ homes, Spencer announced his ambition to lead as mayor. However, Stephanie is skeptical. “He’s trying to become famous and cash in on his memoirs, don’t be deceived,” she remarked.
While sharing a vision of a more refined local governance, Stephanie shows more concern for the pressing issues facing Los Angeles right now. “Our city needs help,” she wrote, “I don’t oppose the government’s efforts, but they must do better.”
Stephanie rejected the idea of supporting Spencer, recalling an unfortunate incident from their youth where she ended up in the hospital due to an altercation with him. “No, he’s not government material,” she added pointedly.
Amidst her criticisms of Spencer’s aspiration, she detailed the absurdity of urging support for someone she views as unfit, hinting at the complex dynamics of their relationship. She eloquently reasoned that “leopards never change their spots,” likening Spencer’s ambitions to a failure to consider his past actions.
As Spencer continues to campaign against the current Mayor Karen Bass and has recently published a memoir, he argues that substantial support exists for his endeavors, albeit quietly. “Big stars know the truth,” he stated, noting that public endorsements come with heavy consequences in their industry.
While acknowledging the fears that keep many from voicing their opinions, he shared his perspective on the unfolding political landscape. “After observing the unwillingness of others to challenge the mayor, I realized I had to step up. It’s all divinely timed,” he said, reflecting on when he decided to intertwine his memoir with his political aspirations.
Throughout this tumultuous journey, Spencer seems to have embraced the idea that what he feels is a calling in politics might be part of a larger plan. “It’s been over a year now since that fire—my life and my work have intertwined in ways I never could have planned,” he concluded.
