Bruce Springsteen reveals 2025 American tour featuring 20 shows

Bruce Springsteen Critiques Trump and Announces New Tour

Rock icon Bruce Springsteen is raising the stakes in his criticism of President Donald Trump while gearing up to resume his musical career. On Tuesday, he accused Trump of “wanting to be king” as he unveiled plans for his upcoming “Land of Hopes and Dreams Tour,” set to kick off next month.

“We are living in challenging and concerning times,” Springsteen stated. He encouraged fans not to lose hope, saying, “The cavalry is coming.” The tour will see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band travel across the country, hitting cities from Minneapolis to California, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

Additionally, the 76-year-old musician expressed, “We are shaking your city to celebrate America, American democracy, and the sacred American dream.” He claims all these ideals are currently under threat from what he refers to as a “wannabe king” and his unjust administration.

White House Responds to New Music

Springsteen’s announcement of a 20-show tour, beginning in Minneapolis on March 31st, closely follows the release of his latest song, “Streets of Minnesota.” This track serves as a protest against Trump’s administration, specifically pointing out the deployment of federal agents to curb illegal immigration in Democratic-leaning states.

Trump’s 2024 campaign heavily focuses on immigration, and his promises made during his previous campaigns significantly contributed to his successes at the polls.

Politically, Trump’s administration has faced backlash following the deaths of two Americans, Renee Nicole Good and Alex Preti, caused by federal agents in January. Recently, the administration announced it would cease operations in Minnesota as a response.

Springsteen has long been vocal about his discontent with Trump and even supported then-Vice President Kamala Harris during the last presidential election. He actively performed for various Democratic candidates leading up to Election Day.

Last year, while in Manchester, England, Springsteen labeled the president’s administration as “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.”

Trump’s Reaction

In turn, Trump described Springsteen as “disgusting” and made derogatory remarks about him, including calling him a “withered prune in his locker.” Trump stated on social media, “I never liked him, his music, or his radical left views. Importantly, he’s not talented. He’s just a pushy jerk.” He also criticized Biden, asserting that he nearly ruined the country.

Springsteen intensified his critique of Trump in September, suggesting the president should be “thrown into the garbage heap of history.” He also remarked, in reference to Trump’s lockers, that he simply did not care about the president’s opinion of him.

As of this report, Fox News Digital had reached out to the White House for a comment regarding Springsteen’s upcoming tour, but no response was received.

Known for his songs that resonate with working-class Americans—many of whom have backed Trump over the years—Springsteen pointed out last fall, “A lot of people believed his lies.” He expressed concern that Trump does not truly care about the average American, highlighting instead the millionaires behind him.

With the tour announcement, Springsteen appeared to address Trump supporters directly, stating, “Everyone is welcome, regardless of your views. Join us in this United Free Republic of the E Street Nation for America’s Spring of Rock and Rebellion.”
