Canada and the Czech Republic are set to clash again after the start of the Olympic men’s hockey tournament. The two teams will compete today in a decisive quarterfinal match where the winner advances to the semifinals, while the loser heads home.
Team Canada finished the group stage with a perfect 3-0 record, accumulating 20 points, ten of which were scored in their latest match against France. They only allowed three goals, securing them a spot directly in the semifinals after defeating the Czech Republic 5-0 in their opening game.
The Czech Republic, after losing their second match to France and facing an overtime defeat against Switzerland, managed to advance to today’s quarterfinals by narrowly defeating Denmark 3-2 yesterday.
