Trump’s Racism Accusations Spark White House Back-and-Forth

Since before his presidency began, Donald Trump has faced allegations of racism. Recently, a CBS reporter suggested that no one had wrongly labeled the president a racist, which led to an immediate response from press secretary Caroline Leavitt.

“In a statement about Jesse Jackson, the president remarked: ‘Dear Democrats, even though I have been unjustly and constantly accused of racism by far-left extremists, I’ve always enjoyed assisting Jesse,'” O’Keefe referred to a Truth social post honoring Jackson.

“When does the president feel he was unfairly called a racist?” O’Keefe questioned.

Leavitt, visibly taken aback, responded, “Are you serious? I can give you numerous examples. I’ll have my team start searching online for radical Democrats who’ve been falsely accusing this president for years, Ed.”

She continued, “And I know that a lot of folks in this room and on networks across the country are condemning him similarly. I’ve witnessed it firsthand,” she emphasized.

Blaze TV host Sarah Gonzalez interpreted O’Keefe’s line of questioning as a dismissal, mentioning, “He’s trying to imply that if the president has never been falsely accused, then that explains why we’ve always had funding.” She pointed out that at one point, O’Keefe labeled Trump a racist himself.

Previously, O’Keefe indicated on social media that Trump faced “backlash and support for racist tweets.”

While many Democrats, O’Keefe included, view Trump as racist, Jesse Jackson takes a different stance. Gonzalez played an old clip of Jackson expressing gratitude to Trump for his approach and for fostering a “comfort zone.”

“I don’t know how you can bounce back from all those racist remarks. Remember those comments? Wow. Support the NAACP, support Jesse Jackson. If President Trump is indeed a racist, then he’s missing the mark,” said Gonzalez.

She continued, “He’s considered the worst racist ever. He was even mentioned in rap songs before he ran as a Republican. Many Black Americans once regarded him favorably, celebrating him in their music.” Then she added, “They thought he was the coolest guy until he added an ‘R’ next to his name. Then everyone had to pretend to hate him and act like he was definitely racist.”
